A NEW THING…
This week my daughter and son-in-law celebrated thirteen years of marriage. I sent them a few boxes of chocolate covered fruit: bananas, apples and strawberries. My grandson, Max, got on the phone and said, “CC, will you make sending these chocolate boxes an anniversary tradition. Only, next time, will you come, too?” Talk about an overflowing heart and feeling loved!
There is nothing like feeling connected, heard and loved! This week, our Life’s Healing Choices facilitators met on zoom for the first time. We felt connected, heard and loved. The best way to sum it up is like this: Wow!
I was so worried, with co-founding this ministry with my daughter, that we might get so stuck in our grief that it would be difficult for us to heal. However, getting to know these facilitators, I have been inspired by their feeling of purpose to help others while still grieving. Grief is all around us, but there is hope in community with moving forward.
And soon, we’ll start a resource page, so you’ll be able to share materials with people struggling with loss.
We would like to invite you to join in this very new zoom ministry. The word is definitely getting spread grassroots style. Will you please share the information with your friends?
And to quote a wise eleven year old, “Only this time, will you come, too?”
Isiah 42;18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”.
