Legacy…
From my CR widows’ group, I have learned that we all grieve differently. Some of us have become really busy, some have stayed in our favorite chair, some have relapsed, and many of us have turned to the protection of isolation. I personally have thrown myself some major pity parties, complete with double chocolate brownies, popcorn and Diet Coke.
As I was right in the middle of a pity party day, a friend came by and brought me this quilt. I have always, always wanted a quilt made from CR t-shirts. Suddenly, I was thrown out of my pity party and wrapped in love.
Quilts are said to be a living legacy of a family’s history—in this case, Celebrate Recovery’s family’s history. The t-shirts stitched together represent 31 years of people from all around the world working through hurts, hang-ups and habits with our Higher Power, Jesus Christ.
Ecclesiastes 3:7, “A time to tear apart, and a time to sew…”
Thank you @cratcommunity, Community Bible Church, in Stockbridge, Georgia, for this treasure!
Let’s keep sharing how we can love those in grief.
